Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue A. Ellis Taylor, American producer and actress. She received an B.A. in African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of Acting at New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer active in the fields of theater, film and television. She began acting on stage and went onto appear in independent, mainstream and television series. The actress gained fame as Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she received not just praise from critics but also received a host of awards and nominations including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Film. She made her professional acting debut in the role of Ariel in The Tempest in 1995. On Broadway, she has appeared as a character in Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Seeking the Genesis and Joe Turner's Come and Gone. Her film work is highlighted by her appearances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. On television, her part in the ABC's crime drama High Incident is well known.
